Attached is a detailed report of the findings. The vessel report lists the registered vessels and their VIN and the inspection intervals currently registered for each. It also indicates the data that has been compiled for each vessel, including: spec sheets calculations drawings manufacturer's data report PSV Item No. which protects the vessel. The relief device report list the registered valves and the information found for each. The information that was found is indicated by an F (for on file) and missing information is indicated by a blank space. Attached also is a list of vessels found by the inspector that are not registered. Listed below are a few suggested follow-up actions: Determine if unregistered vessels require registration and complete registration procedures. Review current inspections and intervals to determine if the required inspections are being done and the intervals are within the guidelines of Safety Standard S-314. Have someone knowledgeable of operations determine if some vessels meet exceptions for documentation. Contact Plant Engineering to make a drawing and do calculations for vessels that have no documentation available. The Pressure Vessel Committee understands all plants have deficiencies in their documentation. The purpose of this audit is to define the deficiencies and develop a plan to get the records into compliance with the new Safety Standard S-314.
