September^, 1971 This was to confirm that the following people will visit the Port Allegany Plant on Tuesday, September 7, 1971: Dr. William Johnson, N.I.O.S.H. Mr. David Baylis, Statistician, N.I.O.S^H. Mr. Richard Lemen, Epidemiologist, N.I.O.S.H. Dr. Tanaka, Pa. Dept, of Environmental Resources, Harrisburg Mr. H. J. Suroviec, Pa. Dept, of Environmental Resources, Regional Office The N.I.O.S.H. people are coming in via Allegheny Airlines the evening of September 6 and have arranged their own transportation and hotel accommodations. The whole group will report to the plant at 9:30 a.m. on September 7 for a plant tour after which they will meet with us beginning with lunch to discuss the plans for the employee examinations to c'ommence the next week, September 13. Following "our meeting with them, they would like to meet with the union officers to explain about the employee examinations. They plan to depart after work on September 7. Dr. Johnson advised that in November, 1970, the Public Health Service resurveyed the Port Plant and submitted a report of their finding to Mr. Carl Olm in a letter dated January 22, 1971. Considering Mr. J. R. Murray's letter to me dated August 30, 1971, in which he detailed the studies that had been done at Port and he omitted mention of this survey, the undersigned wonders what happened to the report.
