The patient is a dye oast maintenance worker, and he olalms that on occasions he has inhaled the hydraulic fluid fumes of Pydraul whloh wore accidentally dropped on molten metal at 300 and exposed to these fumes for ten to fifteen minutes. I gather that while this exposure ooourred Indoors It was in a well-vontl la ted, spaolous area. The patient olalmed that he gagged on several oooaslons after this and most recently has not l'elt well since his last exposure. He lias felt weak and tired with generalized aohes and pains "like the flu" associated with marked perspiration. Physical examination was essentially unrevealing.
