I note that on May 12, 1989, Ms. Carver, of our office, spoke with you regarding consideration of a lump sum settlement to Mr. widow. I also note that in his June 16, 1989 correspondence, Mr. Mueller indicates that attorney has advised him that they would be interested in a lump sum type settlement. As Mr. Mueller's June 16, 1989 correspondence indicates, we should be well aware of the fact that if has any intention of remarriage, she would only be entitled to a lump sum equal to two years compensation benefits. Therefore, if in fact she has intentions of remarrying at this time, or if in the near future she does, in fact, remarry, our settlement will have been unnecessary. However, we cannot predict these things. Therefore, at your earliest convenience, kindly review this matter and indicate whether or not Sherwin-Williams would be interested in pursuing settlement negotiations with attorney.
