Wilcox of our Cleveland Office: 1. Information on lung cancer 2. Copies of the Tabershaw Cooper Epidemiology Reports (which include U. S. Mortality Tables). Regarding release of insurance data on illnesses. Dr. Johnson feels our current system is non-informative because it primarily pertains to efforts for renumeration. Furthermore, it is not computerized in a manner to be readily accessible. Within a couple of years a redesigned form, and computerized system, should provide pertinent accessible information. Dr. Greenburg, if you wish to review our regression analyses, may I suggest that a one-day visit to Cleveland might be the best approach. There is considerable output available. By coming up here you could browse as you like and have easier identification of the output. Regarding the format for our new medical forms, we had a preliminary meeting this week. Tentatively the April, 1975, revision will be adopted as our new format. Data from the January and March revisions will be reorganized into this format. We're having a planning meeting next week where the layout and method of entry should be firmed up. Programming should then move fast. We'll keep you informed. BFG64525 Drs. Tamburro and Greenburg Page 3 May 19, 1975 Referring to the chart of the Health Records Study organization, you can see that we can use the new form to substitute for the blood test and personal histories, merging with chemical exposure indices as before. However, we have no current plans (though we have the capabilities) to update work histories and chemical exposure ratings because a corporate health system is being developed. Unless management requests otherwise, this is our current plan. Regarding interfacing the BFG and Health Sciences Computers, we agree a consistent approach is needed in both directions, because of your need for blood test data and our need for physical exam data. 1 suggest we set up a conference call where one of your systems experts, a BFG systems engineer, and I can talk out the possible approaches and agree on that which is most feasible. Would you let me know, please. Regarding blood test data, July to December 31, 1974, I checked with the Louisville plant, and they tell me this information has been sent to you on cards keypunched in the original health records study format:. 1 believe this covers all of the questions brought up at our last discussion.
