General
1. During the month I conducted three (3) orientation sessions for two new employees. The other session was conducted for information purposes for Bill Stueben of the Chemicals Group Safety department. Bill was also taken on a plant tour.
Bill contacted John LoBuno and Associates to discuss the possibility of that firm producing a visitor's orientation program. We, Bill and I, met with Mr. LoBuno and in the latter part of the month a purchase order was written, not to exceed $2,000.00, for the production of a visitor's orien tation program.
2. Approximately 20 hours was spent arranging a schedule, assisting and doing follow-up work for Ron Brown of the Corporate Audit department while he was auditing the VCM program.
3. Extensive searches of company records were made in legal preparation for the "Henderson, Garner and Peck Case".
4. Conducted exit Interview with temporary employees that were terminated. Also arranged for the return of rental equipment that they were using.
5. Investigated and made reports on the following accidents that became OSHA recordables or lost time cases: Skinner, Franklin, Gray, Jenkins, and Champion.

Medical
1. During the month all VCM physicals for the 1979-80 year were completed and the physicals for the 1980-81 year were started.
2. Met with representatives of medical supply firm to evaluate pulmonary function equipment. A decision was made that the microprocessor spirotech from York's Medical Supplies in Paducah would best serve our requirements. The service factor contributed to that decision along with economic factors. A C.E. was prepared for the purchase of the equipment but has not received approval from Mr. Baliker.
3. Mr. Jerry Hells inspected the medical records during his OSHA inspection of the plant. He made no complaints or citations.
4. Prepared report on release of medical information per discussion with Dr. Tepper.
5. During the month we had 41 first aid cases, 7 OSHA recordable cases, and 1 lost time (see Workers Compensation).
