Senra CENTRAL ENGINEERING November 25, 1980 Project #3461 Polymer Building Ventilation During the vist made to the plant by Tom Shepler and myself on November 7, the ventilation in the Polymer Building was reviewed and a scope of work to be done was agreed upon. This scope is listed below. First Floor 1. Install 4 wall exhausters of about 10,000 cfm each, to ventilate the first floor and mezzanine area in response to a call for ventilation by the Bendix monitoring system. 2. Install a 7,000 cfm makeup air unit with distribution ductwork to provide positive air flow into area on the south end of the first floor. 3. Install two-^peed, 1200/20,000 cfm makeup air unit with distributi n ductwork to provide positive air flow into reactor area along the west wall. Two-speed unit to go to high air flow in response to a call for higher ventilation by the Bendix monitoring system. Second Floor 1. Install one new wall exhauster of about 10,000 cfm in east wall, to operate in response to a call for higher ventilation by the Bendix monitoring system. 2. Install an 8,000 cfm makeup air unit with distribution ductwork to provide positive air flow into the area east of the control room. 3. Install 4 air circulating fans to provide air movement around reactors, under pipe chases, etc. These fans would be mounted about 10 feet high, and at an angle. 4. Install a 1200 cfm roof exhauster in the area west of the control room, to operate in response to a call for ventilation by the Bendix monitoring system.
