,
Dear Dr. Ashe:-
.. '
The condition of our General Superintendent, Mr. Fasig, has improved to such an extent that we believe it will be possible for us to hold the meeting about which we have written you in the comparatively near future.
In thinking over this proposition we are confronted with the fact that we fear no matter what you may say at a general meet ing Yd11 be mis-quoted by certain of our employees whose attitude toward the Company is not all that we would like to have it to be. Such being the case we wonder if it would be possible for you to write out in advance Yihat you have in mind telling our people concerning the necessity of following hygienic practices in order to guard against the contraction of occupational diseases.
If this were done and at the meeting you would simply read what you have written we could have on file a copy and in that way guard ourselves against mis-quotations Y;hich otherwise* might be made and might become embarrassing to us.
Ve do not know whether this is an unreasonable request or not but in any event we would appreciate having your reaction to it.
Yours very truly,
DAK-REM
