No. 585-22-5566 Dear Mr. Urquidez: SUBJECT: Cal/OSHA Asbestos Regulations, Title 8, Section 5208 - Subpara graph (K) - Employee Notification (New Section Adopted U/l/76) In accordance with Cal/OSHA Asbestos Regulations, Title 8, Section 5208, Subparagraph (K), Employee Notification, notice is hereby given that your exposure of asbestos fibers was in excess of the permissible limits on May 31, 1977- Twelve (12) each thirty (30) minute personal air samples were taken. The average asbestos fiber count for the twelve (12) samples was 2.64- fibers longer than 5 micrometers, per cubic centimeter of air. Corrective action shall be taken immediately. B) Exhaust ventilation systems are in good working order. Exhaust venti lation systems are checked each shift. (On-going) C) Asbestos spills shall be vacuumed cleaned promptly. (On-going) D) Air-filtering respirators are in use and worn in accordance with pro visions of Section 5144. (On-going) E) Change room and special clothing will continue to be provided to each employee. Employees will be required to vacuum clean their coveralls as it is needed.
