Dr. John J . Stanton, Jr., The Electric Storage Battery Co., Allegheny Avenue and 19th Street,
Philadelphia 52, Pennsylvania.
Dear D r . Stanton:
I send you the analytical results on samples that arrived vithout identification by name. I assume that they were obtained from
, in view of your letter of October >j '.
As indicated in the report, these results, specifically those on
the blood, are indicative of somevhat elevated quantities of lead
in the tissues of this man. Considering the high values obtained
on the first samples, the lover values on the second, as veil as
the time;intervals , the present results are in accord with
expectations.
. ..
In my opinion it vould be inadvisable to return this man to poten tially hazardous exposure .until both blood and urine nave reached substantially normal figures, i.e., .with the blood at v.o5 or. lover.
As usual, a bill to cover the cost of the analytical services is
enclosed.
..
Very truly y o u r s ,
EAK ef Enc.

The lead concentration in the blood is above normal limits, but it has shown a satisfactory decrease during the interval of eight months of freedom from exposure. The concentration in the urine has now reached a substantially normal level, although,no doubt, the average daily lead output in the urine would be found to be somewhat elevated.
