Dear Herb:
At our 1980 Vinyl Chloride Safety Association Meeting, I presented a paper comparing the "PVC relief area size" from a survey of the member ship. Since the meeting, more data has been received (especially from the foreign producers). The attached table includes the new information. Please note this information is based on the total area available for relief. It does not make any correction for the reduction of area when a relief valve is included. I did not receive enough information from the members to make a comparison including the relief valves.
I will look forward to seeing you at our 1981 meeting in Hilton Head.
Sincerely,
BFGoodrich Chemical Group
