No. 301 - 1951 October 26 WELCH APPOINTED MANAGER OF METAL DEPARTMENT William J. Welch has been appointed manager of the Company's metal department. Mr. Welch joined the Company in 1916. He served with the U. S. Cartridge Company as assistant to Gen. Dill until 1936, at which time he moved to the Atlantic Branch metal sales department. In 1939 Mr. Welch was transferred to Morris P. Kirk & Son, Inc., where he became assistant sales manager. Returning in 1947 to New York, he became assistant to the manager of the metal depart ment.
