No. 5 GROWING, GROWING, GROWING. N the February issue of Th f . Ch a me l e o n we reported that the first quarter I of our present year was ahead of any other first quarter. We also stated that we wanted to make the second quarter still greater, and promised to tell you the result when the time arrived. At the end of April we finished our second quarter, and it gives me a great deal of pleasure to announce that we have accomplished our desire, and that the second quarter shows still greater gains than the first. In April we broke all records. The business of our Company in April I was greater than any other month in its history. More orders received, and I larger sales made than ever before. April sales have beaten all records in all departments--Trade Sales, Railway Sales, and Carriage Manufacturers Sales. We congratulate the selling force arid thank you most heartily for your i * splendid efforts and these magnificent results. Just keep up the gait. The ball is rolling fast, and "bigger and bigger all the time. Keep her rolling, keep her rolling, must be our one great effort. We have a great deal to encourage us now--good times, favorable weather, much building and plenty of money for paint. These are days of record breaking. Every Division, every Department, t every Territory should make new records this yeai. We never had such a chance before, so let us make the most of it. Let us make May, June and July, our third quarter, still greater than any we have yet experienced. We have made a good start in May. Let there be no slacking of the strong, earnest activities that have been so presistently at work since ourlast convention ? i and when we meet again in November it will be to congratulate one another and look back over greater victories than we have ever before won. Our thanks are also due the factory and the busy workers there for the t? promptness in which they have met the extra demands made upon them. Our manufacturing departments are working to their fullest capacity and in April their output exceeded that of any other month. We are growing in every direction. Our plant is being added to, our selling staff and our office staff t and our working staff are all being constantly increased.
