Scott A solid congratulations on your appointment and confirmation as EPA Administrator. I appreciate your continued commitment to serve. One of the things I do when I'm not running around the AG circuit is help run Ag America, the national caucus of GOP ag leaders. Think of it as RAGA for agriculture. We support elected and appointed commissioners, directors, and secretaries of agriculture, state legislative ag leaders, and other state and federal candidates and officeholders with proven records of supporting agriculture. That's the quick version. Here's the reason for the email. Ag America is hosting its 2017 DC Conference April 5 at the JW Marriott. The event will be comprised of a lunch, followed by a couple of horn s of policy sessions, and wrapped up with a reception and dinner (I've attached a draft agenda). Attendees will include the various private sector ag stakeholders in DC and a number of elected state ag leaders - at this early stage: Commissioner Ryan Quarles (R-KY), Secretary Bill Northey (R-LA), and Director Jamie Clover Adams (R-MI) are all
confirmed to attend. We have yet to hear from a handful of state legislators and 1-2 folks from the Hill. These are folks who intimately understand the impact of the EPA, and would no doubt appreciate hearing from you. We'd be happy to have you give remarks during the opening lunch, or drop in at any time that works better on for your schedule. So that's it. Direct me to whoever is the appropriate next step in this process and hopefully we're able to make it work. Thanks for your service from the beginning. I really appreciate how you've handled your time in office. I have no doubt you'll carry that forward at EPA and once folks see that, they'll simmer down. Talk soon.
