At the time, we moved out of a 35,000 square foot building on three floors into an 80,000 square foot building. We figured at the time that we were set for life. However, as our busi ness grew, more space was necessary. After several additions we now have over 200,000 square feet under roof. In 1967, we really began to move out and the growth continues today. At one time, our core pick-up service was limited just to the Southeast and delivery of finished goods was very limited. Most were shipped by common carrier. Today we have Rayloc Merchandise Distribution Service (RMDS). They cover the whole of continental United States, both for core pick-up and de livery of finished goods. RMDS has really helped our business grow due to the fact that they make weekly deliveries to each Distribution Center, with finished goods and return cores from our satellite points. All billing, etc. was done by hand in the early days. Today we have computers and in the not-too-distarit future, inven tories from all four operations will be put on computer, which again will expedite the handling of orders and give our customers better and more efficient service. -2 N0V016796
