I am certainly glad to get your straightforward views on this subject. I felt somewhat concerned with the way things were going in the Association and certainly the background you have had will be invaluable to me. I have not quite made up ray mind as to the best approach to this and would like to let the matter soak for a while and try to go along until an opportune time presents itself to get this matter across diplomatically and without too much revelation of the source of most of my informa tion. I am going to do something about it, of course, but feel I must select the medium that will not cause any controversy or antagonism. I will let you know how matters progress. . 3-2 J. H. I just received a call from Felix Wormser sug gesting that you be present in his office at 10:00 on Thursday, February 7th to discuss in an informal way plans for the American Medical Association Symposium which will be shared in jointly by the Lead Industries Association on the subject of lead poisoning. Yourfriend Dr. Aub, Dr'. Peters and others will be there. I told Mr. Wormser that I certainly felt that you could very substantially contribute to this subject, and as far as I was concerned it would be a very good plan to have you there.
