Of course, I certainly do appreciate the problem of the consideration of the medical-legal'responsibility of the laboratory. Of course, we used the BD vacutainer type tube which, I believe, is also the type used by the laboratory, and which has been used here at the State Division of Industrial Hygiene labora tory. As for the plastic bottle containing the urine, we have been using this in conjunction with Len Gold-water*s study of normal values of lead, mercury and arsenic in blood and urine, and his group apparently has been satisfied with the absence of these contaminants in this plastic. Nevertheless I regret putting the laboratory in this position, and trust that the conditions of collection are not incompatible with your usual rigorous analytical methods. Best regards to all.
