' It was recommended that the Technical Coirenittee prepare revisions to C 79 to include these products should the Board approve the recommendation. In addition to preparation of the sheathing brochure, Mr. Gafford's task group had reconmended a test program based on FHA circular 12 involving both a wet and dry test series. This was intended to learn the values of current gypsum sheathing products. COMMITTEE ACTION; A motion was made, seconded and carried that the proposed test program be dropped and that the Chairman report at the next Association membership meeting that a test program for sheathing is currently not under consideration. COMMITTEE ACTION: A motion was made, seconded and carried to remove the sheathing test program from the agenda. ITEM 1.5-73 ASBESTOS II! JOINT COMPOUND (was 11-63-73) It was reported that GDCI was contemplating a field testing program to measure the release of asbestos dust in mixing and sanding joint treatment compounds.
