ETHYL CORPORATION INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE TO Dr. L. J. Lchradin FROM Mr. H. X. Ball SUBJECT Continental Oil Company Artesia, Hew Mexico ADDRESS ADDRESS DATE Cincinnati Tulsa March 13, 1945 CONFIDENTIAL Dear "es: "hen you were in the office on March 12 we discussed vir. Lenington's reportthat he and I talked about the artesia tank cleaning of November 29 when Cliff and I were1 in Dallas the week of December 4 I neglected to give you a memo randum on this while you were here. It is recalled that Cliff and I aid discuss this tank cleaning, particularly regarding whether or not hot work was to be done or concrete was to be poured in the bottom of the tank. Cliff stated that if a new steel bottom was to be put in he would be advised so that he could be present. As far as I can recall there was no question at all about the men not entering the tank to pour con crete. I prefer not to say anything further regarding this discussion -until I talk with Cliff; as I am rather hazy on just what was said. I do feel certain that he asked whether or not it was okeh for the men to go ahead on cold, work and I told him it was absolutely okeh. KXB/hmr cc: Mr. G. . Lenington
