The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following in attendance:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A action was Bade, seconded, and passed that the Minutes of the Beard of Directors Meeting of April 23, 1970, as bulletined by the Associa tion, be approved.
TREASURES *S REPORT
J.7. Vyverberg outlined the Association's Balance Sheet, Statement of Income and Expenditures, and the Duct Systems Program as of August 31, 1970.
The Treasurer's Report is attached hereto and Bade part of these Minutes.
A notion was Bade, seconded and passed to accept the Treasurer's Re port.
ASSOCIATION EXPANSION
R.E. Saylor recounted his contacts with the BMWIA to discuss possible
canon Interests.

J.H. Price, Jr. was appointed Chnirnan and is to pick his Committee Members to explore this subject further with HMWIA.
HEW MEMBERSHIP
Contacts with various insulation nanufacturers realised no new mem berships at this time.
It was agreed to continue this subject as an item for discussion on future Agendas.
HEALTH k SAFETY
Zt vti unanimously agreed to change the name of Committee* as follows:
1. Occupational Health & Safety Committee to
1 Medical and Scieatlfle Coanittee.
2. Leglelatloa and Education Canalttee to
Health and Safety Committee.
It was agreed to include $15,000 for out of pocket expeases for health and safety purposes ia the 1971 Budget.
C.L. Sheckler was authorized to advise SICA that RIKA would support them in health and safety aatters through their Association.

It was agreed that the follovieg program would he in effect retroactive to August 2U, 1970;

1971 BUDGET
It was agreed that the 1971 BUDGET would amount to $56,290. A copy of the Budget is attached hereto and made part of these Minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY LABEL
It was suggested that the following be used as a label on products con taining asbestos:
"Caution; Contains asbestos fiber. Inhalation in excessive quantities over long periods of time may be harmful.
Avoid breathing dust. If adequate ventilation is not possible, wear respirators approved by the U.S. Bureau of Mines for pneumoconiosis producing dust."

SPRIKG MEETING LOCATION
It was agreed that the Spring Meeting would be held at the Homestead, Bot Springs , Va., on April 26, 27, 1971.
