I was very impressed by your knowledge of the ethanol production process (albeit through a beer brewer's lens) and sincerely appreciated the interest you expressed at the meeting in learning more about POET. I am writing to follow up on that meeting, and to extend to an invitation to visit our hallmark cellulosic ethanol plant. As we discussed, POET has a long and consistent history of innovation and reliability. In accord with that history, POET's corn kernel fiber pathway application contains representative data that produces more than reasonably accurate results, and its testing methodology is superior to existing VCSB methods and meets the regulatory requirements for corn fiber ethanol cellulosic RINs. Based on the information we provided to EPA, EPA should quickly approve POET's registration applications. To continue to facilitate that process, our staff will remain in close contact with EPA staff in Washington and Ann Arbor. Given your interest in POET and its operations, I extend to you an invitation to visit our Liberty cellulosic plant in Emmetsburg, Iowa. If you are available, I would be happy to provide a personal tour of the cellulosic plant, as well as our adjacent starch ethanol plant. If you are interested in joining me in Emmetsburg, please let me know, and I will ask my administrative assistant to coordinate the trip. Thank you again for your time and interest in POET. I look forward to talking again soon.
