Asbestos warning flagging or other means to cordon off the area SITE PREPARATION 1. Cordon off the work area 2. Cover the floor with plastic extending 6 feet on all sides from the work area 3. Insure that there is no electrical power to the wires to be removed, and lock off and tag out the source of energy. WORK PROCEDURES 1. The wire and cable should be removed, if possible, at the terminal point by unscrewing lugs. 2. If the wire or cable is hard wired, it should be carefully clipped at the terminal point to avoid cutting the insulation. 3. Place the removed wire in an asbestos disposal bag. 4.
