I have read it with considerable interest, and with satisfaction that your people came to the same conclusion that we did. I am not, however, recommending to Mr. Gordon and his group that the report be submitted along with ours to the F.D.A. My reason here is simply that this report covers the same ground as our own, and I would not consider it necessary in tactically advantageous terms, for them to act as though the issue involved had not been dealt with by us appropriately. I do not believe that the presentation of evidence upon evidence is necessary or desirable, and I would not be giving the Committee good advice, in my judgment, if I were to act on any other belief.
