Dear Bob:
I have been over your revision of Treon's paper. Editorially I have no comments at all. Technically I do not see why it belongs in our Journal. The only possible justification for putting it in our Journal, as compared with one on straight toxicology, is the last sentence in your opening paragraph, and I do not think that is enough.
Please look at this from our point of view. We hav^"to bp a bit stiff about what we take. One of the reasons we asked you. to serve as an editor was to get points of view of specialists iii various of our fields. If you honestly think we should take this we will. V,hiether or not we should have financial help can be decided later on, and I would not want that point to influence our decision.
If we take the paper it will follow Deichmann's paper. It could
appear in the same issue, but I would not think that that point was
essential.
