;is7. On March. 9, 1942 an. industrial health follow-up visit was made to the Poidiati^ o-/.:
7:;f.Mining Corplration Asbestos Plant at which time dust counts were-don.
The same general dust conditions-were found that were- present durihg previous ;;^ -

; for several, months'bad not arrived*

It was observed that the men working-in the plant did not wear. their respirators
. consistently* . The bagger in the basement had his respirator lying on some bags of .
asbestos nearby the sacking or bagging operations.
The basement of the plant was practically filled with sacked and stored asbestos.
The sacker, had only a small space .in which to work.4 . A burlap bag was stretched over
S;;the space where the aacker stands while bagging* -This was to prevent .dust that; seeps
. . through frost-the floor above from falling directly on the sacker. An open- screw con-
veyor leading to the basement from the floor:.above also contributes to some'of the
.' dust existing here. . Such machinery should be enclosed*.
