Total exposure hours since last lost time injury is 213,005. II. Inj ury None III. Training A. The subject of employee training for February was Noise Exposure and Hearing Conservation. The complete program included background and introduction, effects of noise upon hearing, anatomy and function of human ear, effects of disease and drugs upon hearing, type, use and care hearing protection devices (including proper selection and limitations), audiometric testing, monitoring and record keeping. B. The sequential topic for the month is Safety Lock-out Procedure. Training will emphasize importance and neces sity of following all lock-out procedures ranging from vessel entry to small electrical devices whether for cleaning or maintenance. In an effort to reduce muscular strain injuries from tightening reactor J-bolts, we will have a one week trial period of a pneumatic impact wrench. The wrench will be supplied by IngersollRand on a trial basis. If successful, the pneumatic wrench will replace the manual thirty (30") inch socket wrench. B. The two (2) Emergency Operating Procedures for the February review and revision are E.O.P. #2, Response to VCM Area Monitoring System Alarms and EOP #12, Use of Self-Contained Breathing Appara tus (Scott Air Pak).
