Dear Mr. Papageorge:
Blank you for you cooperation In helping us obtain the anoqulne for
our poultry diets. Dr. Romoser called today and said he vould have the sample delivered as soon as possible.
I am enclosing a copy of our fourth quarterly report to the FDA; this Item contains most of the essential information on our Pilot Reproduction Study In svine and the blood kinetics In svlne and sheep. As ve agreed on the phone, this information Is not to be released, but will be submitted for publication In the near future. We will be happy to entertain your comments and suggestions. I am also enclosing representative GC tracings
to assist in Identifying the peaks referred to In the kinetics section. At this point It is becoming apparent that studies of longer duration will be neceasary to properly assess the elimination of PCB components from
animals. Still, the kinetics studies show rather well the changes In PCB fingerprints" or "profiles" which occur when these mixtures are subjected to biological systems.
Dr. R. L. Metcalf (Project Director) and I have discussed the possi bility of a more detailed exchange of Ideas between our research group and Monsanto. We would be delighted if you or a member of your staff could cone up and present a seminar or an Informal discussion to our Comparative Pharmacology and Toxicology group this summer or fall. Please advise me of the suitability of this arrangement and I will supply you with more details
Thank you and the Monsanto Company, again, for all your cooperation In our research efforts.
Sincerely,
LGH:lan enclosure cc: R. L. Metcalf
