'.Ye had some correspondence with Sir* Mitfcnacht over the problem and he was in communication with certain representatives of the Metropolitan. On my last discussion with him I had agreed to prepare this report in mimeographed form for presentation to a group of insurance people in a conference* The conference should be arranged for at an early date, and I presume that we can get in touch with the right people through references to Mr* Mitfcnacht*s correspondence and through the information which some of his associates will have* Having gotten this material together I now want to us it for several purposes* I think it will be advisable to publish it in some form* though 1 am not entirely convinced that the article as I am sending it to you, is the best form for this, purpose* I also want to use the material for a brief presentation of the facts to our Sales Department people in the<. coming National Meeting* I am submitting it to you for examination and criticism for any of .the three purposes* In as much as I have mentioned the matter of contracts and have pointed out that these contracts were primarily adapted for maintaining control in the hands of Ethyl Gasoline Corporation, there is a legal aspect to it which perhaps requires some consideration* Otherwise there is nothing in it of a confidential nature, but I should appreciate your critical remarks both as to subject matter and as to the means of Its presentation* I have copies of the paper so that if you wish, you can keep the copy which I am sending you* However I would be glad if you would return the tables to in when you have finished examining them* Also I would like to have your Graham Edgar comments as speedily as you can conveniently give them since I should life to proceed at once with the mimeographed reports for the discussion ith the insurance people# With kindest personal regards.
