Because of the great ease with which samples of biological material may become contaminated in the process of their collection, only samples collected in cur ovn containers in accordance with the instructions attached, will be analysed. The possibility of contamination is so great that high results cannot be depended upon if these procedures are not adhered to with meticulous care. he shall be glad to forward you the proper number of containers upon request. A written report with an interpretation of ;he results will be forwarded tc you usually within one week after the receipt of the samples. rince the Laboratory is not a diagnostic laboratory, but rai her a research laboratory, analyses are not carried out routinely for fees. However, Doctor Kehoe is always glad to be of any assistance that he can to his colleagues. For this reason he requires a complete clinical and occupational history of the case, stating particularly the duration, severity and last day of exposure to lead compounds. This may be given on the sheet provided for the purpose and enclosed with the containers. A charge of 10.Ob per sample (10.00 for the blood and $10.00 for the urine) is made to cover the actual cost of performing the analyses. In the case of spot samples of urine, a much more accurate inter pretation of the results can be made when a blood sample is taken at the same time. For our own purposes two samples of blood are requested and analysed by parallel methods, using one as a check against the other.
