As you suggest, I am to-day forward ing a specimen of feces by express. As far as I know, no arsenic determinations have been made. If you could do this I am sure it would help. Should you need another 24 hour urine, please advise me. 1 For your information, this patient has worked in the lead arsenate operation for approximately 8 years. This operation is a seasonal one, the season extending from September to June. During the summer months the man has been employed in other depart ments, usually where there would be no exposure to lead. His general physical examination revealed a robust, adult; male, 38 years old.. There was no history of previous exposure to lead and only illnesses were typhoid in childhood and influenza in 1919, His general health prior to 1932 was excellent. Examination revealed a slight defect in vision, the right eye showing 20/30 minus two letters, the left eye showing 20/20 minus three letters. There was a slight coniunctivacongestion. The ears were negative, the hearing was normal, the tonsils were atrophic but apparently clear. On protrusion there was a faint tremor to the tongue with just a slight gray coating at the base. The teeth were in poor condition with a slight pyorrhea. The anterior cervical glands were palpable. Examination of the lungs showed a mild Irritation as shown by roughening breath sounds over the lung roots and bronchial tubes. The heart sounds were soft and running with a slight roughening over the mitral area. No definite murmers were heard. The heart was apparently of normal size. The abdomen was essentially negative. The genital region was negative with the exception of a relaxed left inguinal ring with slight cough impulse. The patella reflex was present and normal. The Rombergs sign was negative. Elbow ' reflexes were present and normal, Babinski was negative. ' The blood pressure varied from 104 to 114 for over a period extending from September 29, 1931 to June IV, 1932. His weight September 29, 1931 was 168#. His weight on April 4, 1932 was 184#. His present weight at this writing is 184#. Wrist strength KIT 0016877 "^ - 2- readings taken with a dynamometer on September 29, 1931 were 135 both right and left. There was only a slight variation in this and the present reading is 148 right and 145 left.
