As mentioned in my December 9,1994 letter, Drs. Ken Mundt and Carlo Tamburo will attend the meeting. Discussion with Dr. Mundt will enable him to collect new data for the epidemiology update more efficiently. Discussion with Dr. Tamburo will enable the Committee to decide on a course of action with respect to the proposed brain cancer case control study. The October 6 and 7,1994 Records of Meeting and subsequent Records of Conference Call are being mailed to you separately. Information on agenda items 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0 is enclosed. I will follow-up with Dr. Holtzer of Cal-EPA on vinyl chloride risk assessment near a hazardous waste landfill. Please discuss Dr. James Swenberg's proposal with your toxicologists prior to the meeting. I will request a more detailed proposal from Dr, Swenberg if the project merits further consideration. I will contact Dr. James Cogliano of EPA to leam the process for modifying the Heast Table. The Heast Table predicts a much higher vinyl chloride unit risk than estimated by Richard Reitz based on the pharmacokinetic data.
