Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 Air Enforcement Branch 61 Forsyth Street, SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303 INSPECTION REPORT Facility Inspected 240 City Circle Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 Inspection Date: August 31, 2023 Facility Programmatic ID 3601564420 LAT: 33.395032 LON: -84.592404 Inspection Type Clean Air Act (CAA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) - Asbestos Inspector Tony Spann Introduction An inspection pursuant to Section 114 of the CAA was conducted on August 31, 2023, at 240 City Circle in Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 (the facility). The purpose of this inspection was to determine compliance with the CAA NESHAP Asbestos Standard and the regulations promulgated at 40 C.F.R. Part 61, Subpart M, for the demolition activity conducted at the facility. The unannounced inspection was conducted by Tony Spann and Pamela Storm who possess EPA inspector credentials to conduct CAA NESHAP asbestos inspections. The inspectors obtained information prior to the inspection regarding demolition permit # PDM22-019 which was issued on October 11, 2022, by the City of Peachtree City for the demolition activity conducted at the facility. According to the demolition permit, the job description was listed as an interior demolition of the facility. The owner of the facility listed on the demolition permit was Heirloom Market Co. LLC. There were no contractors listed on the demolition permit. The EPA Region 4 CAA NESHAP asbestos program targets facilities for inspection located in the State of Georgia based on tips/complaints; permits issued on a local level; and demolition and/or renovation/abatement notices sent to the State. This inspection was conducted based on the previously mentioned permit. Facility Information The facility is an unoccupied building. Inspection Upon arrival at the facility, the EPA inspectors presented inspector credentials to Jack Ingle, Superintendent of Restaurants Consulting Group, Inc. The inspectors observed no interior demolition activities at the time of inspection. According to Jack Ingle the interior demolition activities had not been started yet. This would specifically include the removal of all existing walls, ceilings, floors as well as mechanical and electrical work. Conclusion The inspectors will follow up with the contractor(s) and/or owner(s)/operator(s) listed on the demolition permit as deemed appropriate, to obtain information and necessary paperwork related to this demolition activity. This information will include, but not necessarily be limited to, copies of asbestos inspection reports and demolition notifications submitted to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division prior to the demolition activity conducted at the facility.
