Upon approval of this proposal by the AIHA Board the law committee will establish a selection committee and prepare selection guidelines. However we are in need of direction as to the mechanics for creating the Trust Fund under the AIHA. VENABLE MEMORIAL FORUM It is proposed that the Law Committee of AIHA create the Fred S. Venable Memorial Forum for Ethics and Professional Conduct. The purpose of this Forum will be for discussion of timely issues in keeping with the Forum theme. The nature of the forum shall be at the discretion of the Law Committee with general guidance from the Association and may include such items as papers, panels, demonstrations and other opportunities for interactions between industrial hygiene professionals and between professionals in other disciplines and industrial hygienists. It is further proposed that a trust named the Fred Venable Memorial Trust be created, This trust will be funded through donations by those with an interest in the area of Ethics and Professional Conduct and in the memory of Fred Venaoie. Tne corpus of the trust will be permanent in nature and will exist concurrently with the AIHA and its sucessor organizations. The trust will be administered by the AIHA and the trustee shall be the Chairman of the Law Committee or other person as the AIHA Board of Directors shall designate. Revenue from the trust shall be used for an Honorarium for a speaker or speakers at the Fred Venable Memorial Forum for Ethics and Professional Conduct, expenses for administering the trust and other necessary expenses which the trustee directs.
