Kehoe, Dear Dr. Kehoe: Despite the fact that the British Investigating Committee was in process of investigating the question of possible public hazard, the Daily Mail has given wide publicity to the report of Dr. Myer Coplans who was employed by them for this particular work. We are enclosing the report as it appeared in sections in the Daily Mail. ,hese just came to hand from our Mr. Bevan in London. You will observe that the fourth section is in the April 27th issue, and in it toward the end reference is made to a final installment which was to appear the day following. I am sorry I haven't the final installment to transmit to you. Also enclosed is a clipping entitled "A Statement" issued by the Anglo-American Oil Company and ourselves in reference to Dr. Coplans report, which appeared in various English newspapers. Last Monday Dr. Edgar and Mr. Maxwell appeared before the Committee whose hearings are public. In the same communication from Mr. Bevan were statements prepared by them for submission to the Committee, and I assume that their testimony on Monday was substantially as outlined in the written statements, copy of which I enclose herewith.
