ETHYL CORPORATION Re s e a r c h a n d De v e l o pm e n t De pa r t m e n t October 9, 1978 PLEASE ADDRESS REPLY TO: P. O. BOX 341 BATON ROUGE, LA. 70821 Dr. Robert A. Kehoe Kettering Laboratory Dept, of Environmental Health University of Cincinnati Medical Center 3223 Eden Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45267 Dear Robert: It has been sometime since our last correspondence, and I trust that all is well with you and Mrs. Kehoe. We have been awaiting, anxiously and with prodding, Dr. Gross' report on his summarization of the data involved in your work over the past 40 years. He has finally submitted this report to us, with some minor art work, which he has requested Dr. Tar Haar to finish, the only thing required to complete the report. . Both Dr. Ter Haar and myself consider this report as complete. It gives an effective summary of the data and for the first time, presents all of it to public view in a collected fashion. This is a very significant contribution to the data on lead in human beings. There are some minor changes to be made, i.e., the initial slope in Figure 2 should be positive finite rather than zero and the initial scope at the beginning of the drop should be finite negative rather than infinite as he has drawn it. Other than this I have no real criticism to make. ' We know that you will give this report your usual careful study. We feel that this is an important contribution to the literature and hope that you will also so feel. With best.regards, BAS/jgl Attachment i4 feti t^ t Bernard A.
