Rowe DATE October 29, 1975 COPIES TO FROM SUBJECT ASBESTOS REPLACEMENT IN ACCESSORIES___(W.O. #696-314) Attached hereto is a Xerox copy of the Operating Bulletin for Santa Ana plant covering Pre-Mix Dual Purpose Joint Compound. This reformulation adds methocel to the cellosize as a thickener in the non-asbestos compound. On two field tests in Southern California, the material worked well and results were reported to be satisfactory. The Santa Ana plant will use Xerox copies of this bulletin for batch slips, manufacturing and holding control data for each batch. Each batch will be reported in the space provided at the bottom of the bulletin. Copies of this bulletin have already been forwarded to the Santa Ana plant. Also attached hereto is the copy of the Operating Bulletin for One-Day Joint Compound, Non-Asbestos type, to be used in the Seattle plant. Test batch for this material was made onMay!5th, and seven job test reports showed performance to be generally good. This bulletin is being distributed to the Seattle plant.
