Vo are unable to supply tho daaaad aad have boon cur tailing purchases of regular eustoaars aad have boon turning dsvn nev business that has been offered us. Despite tho shortage of vegetable oils, tho shortage of other pigments plus tho tremendous demand for paint has caused considerable substitution of dry vhlte load for theae other pigments. At last Chicago our stock of dry vhlte lead is tho levest it has boon in years. That stock for sale as dry vhlte load is dovn to about 100 tons and ve have about 200 tons in oanorelal varohousos. Some of our varohousos aro entirely out of stock aad it vlll very likely bo sovoral vooks bofere vo can gat enough tonnage to replenish them. There is no likelihood of any increase In stocks at this time. TABU XO. 8 February January December Average Sales Price - Per Pound 8.414# 8.361# 8*353# To nusnriie, sine oxide sales continued the upward trend in February and this upward trend will be continued in March. The increase for February over January was slight bat far March over February it will be substantial, March sales being approximately 1.900.000 pounds. The volume of dry white lead sales in January and February was nalntained to a considerable extent by liquidation of inventories at last Chicago and in eoaaaeroial warehouses. Sale of dry white lead is now governed by the amount of production pensitted by CPA. We are unable to supply the demand. March sales will be at about the level for February but for subsequent months the sale of dry white lead will be lower. Tory truly yours. F.M.Xurlesa ihe cos Mr. Frederick halst' Mr. F. 0.
