Barnes, Secretary American Industrial Hygiene Association Gentlemen: I have teen in receipt of various carbon copies of letters from several of your officers and Board of Directors, seeking to determine the place for your l946meeting We are still hoping that you will consider joining us at our meeting in Chicago, the week of April 23rd through the 28th, 1945* The meeting will not last the six days, but as I recall it, the Governmental Industrial Hygienists prefer two days and the American Industrial Hygiene Association should certainly have three days, so you would probably wish to have your meetings extend either from Uonday through Friday, or Tuesday through Saturday, I am enclosing herewith a copy of a letter I received from Ur, Halos on August 5th setting forth the desirability of having the prospectus of our meeting printed, I am wondering if you can let me know within the next few weeks, - by September 1st, if possible - what your plans for your 1945 meeting arh so that I may give this additional inforaation to Mr. Halos before he prepares his prospectus. We are planning to have a meeting of our Program Committee sometime the first ten days of September and will send out a news letter to our membership between September 15th and 20th* I most sincerely hope the American Industrial Hygiene Association will find it possible to meet with us again next year. I am working on the division of profits of this year's meeting, but will have to get the approval of all my Board of Directors before I am in a position to forward the check covering the American Industrial Hygiene Associat ion's share.
