MINUTES OF OSHA COMMITTEE MEETING

The first item discussed was the two amended citations. The first citation dated May 17, 1978, changed some wording and abatement dates. The second amended citation received May 25, 1978, was to change the citation from serious to other on the Muller and its penalty reduced to 0.
Charles Kuenemann presented a rough draft of the Respiratory Pro tection Program and the requirements of the program for each facility. If copies are desired, please call.
The need for an Industrial Hygienist was discussed more thoroughly. The question was asked if we needed one at this time and it was deemed not necessary because we know of enough problems without any additional being found.
The program for evaluation has been set up with priorities being given to certain areas in each of the plants.

Minutes of OSHA Committee Meeting Page 2 The next item for discussion was presented by Bud Gladish and Ron Howell A handout was distributed suggesting environmental im provement and recommends immediate action for Fitting Shell Core Area, Muller, and Hub Core Building. The floor of the Muller should be changed to solid deck plating and drum pick-up points for dust from phenolic resin. Also, shield platform to help eliminate dust from other sources outside the Muller area. The manufacturer is to be contacted to see about having the additional wax used to be added to the flake resin during manufacturing. Additional items discussed was the possibility of moving the Muller to an isolated area, automating the addition of the resin and the Hexa, keep the operator from being exposed. Also, the leak by the staircase of hexa water needs to be fixed. The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
