Phil Partington stated that Production Control was following the SBR system and that the system, plus the shortage of were-housing space, does not allow for a lot of flexibility. It was agreed that if marketing wanted longer runs or increased stock points, they would have the responsibility of arranging outside warehousing. BALL HILL DUST T. Jago reported that we are'experiencing problems with producing Ferrux with ball mill dust shipped in by rail and containing a high aluminum content. He stated that he questions the value of the new unloading facility which was to give us the flexibility to use trucks when this condition occurred; however, he stated it sometimes takes three days to get a truck in to our plant. Jago reported that Universal had been notified of their infringement on our curved board patents, and that the matter is now in the hands of our representa tive attorneys. The decision was made to have the attorneys also notify PHP of infringement. ASBESTOS FREE RECIPES T. Jago reported we currently have two recipes with lovmr asbestos content. He stated, however, that a recipe for producing rings is a problem,'and that we will probably be only able to get these recipes down to between eight and ten percent asbestos.
