Charged to reactor. Clear, colorless liquid - faint ether-like odor. Vapors irritating to skin, eyes, nose, and throat, but will probably not cause systemic illness. High concentrations may produce anesthetic effects. Intermittent skin contact may cause dermatitis. Skin - wash with soap and water. Eyes - Wash with water for at least 15 minutes. Ingestion - cause vomiting with large quantities of salt solution. Inhalation - remove to fresh air; if not breathing apply artificial respiration - oxygen when conscious. Get medical help. Avoid contact with strong mineral acids, oxidizing agents, high temperatures. Dike storage tanks. Run off to sewer creates a fire hazard because it floats on water. Use spark resistant tools. Store drums in well-ventilated area. Considered a hazardous waste and must be disposed of according to Government regulations. Appropriate respirator. Ventilation. Rubber gloves. Goggles and/or safety shield. Protective clothing. Dry chemical, carbon monoxide, foam. Presents a serious fire hazard - highly flammable. Water spray must be used with caution (no straight stream) .
