I talked to Mr. Jenkinson of Ocean Chemical concerning InBul-Blase 5027
and 5028. The 5027 Flat White does not contain any lead pigment or
driers. He currently uses Varsol and claims he can't find an exempt version.
The 5028 Semi-Gloss White currently has 0.47. lead and he doesn't seem
to know how to get it down to the 0.06% level - solvent is exempt. He is
going to return the FDA Guaranty to Mr. Patton.
-
NOTE - Chicago will have to be notified that they can't sell Y-5028. We'll have to keep on Ocean's back until they conform with the Y-5028 or else we drop the product by January 1974.
It appears we are in good shape on alL buy-out concerning lead (except 5028 for 1974).
