Liquid level, pressure and temperature gauges in a wide range of types
"DUAL-DIAL" FUEL LEVEL TANK GAUGES
These highly dependable, easy-to-read fuel level gauges have been the standard of the industry for 25 years. They feature a magnetic gauge action which makes them leakproof-pressure tight. The pointer is actuated by a permanent non-electric magnet in solid gauge head. No shaft hole or shaft penetrates this pressure tight seal. A steel cap with unbreakable windows protect dials. Underwriters listed. Mounts on top of tank at center or
either end in pipe thread fitting--134 in., or 2 in. for all
basement tank depths--22 in., -40 in. or 47 in. Model 3175.
PRESSURE AND VACUUM GAUGES
Designed for indicating and testing. Pressure gauges
available in various ranges but Model 2450 is typical.
Range 0 to 200 psi, 2 in. dial, 34 in- bottom connection.
All moving parts made of materials that withstand wear
and vibration. Special diaphragm and dampner construc
tion provide long service life. All gauges individually
calibrated for accuracy. Model 2450.

CIRCULATION AIR CONTROL THERMOMETERS
Circulation Air Control Thermometer Kit. Packed three to a Kit, permits accurate balancing of air temperature in any type of forced air heating. To be inserted in warm
air duct, return air duct and near blower switch air at
one time. Stainless steel with 2 in. easy to read dial and 9 in. stem with tapered bushing to fit snugly in awl or nail pierced hole. Sturdily and accurately made.

SIM-TROL Barometric Draft Controls--SIMPLEX Roof Vent Flashings
As breechings and stacks must provide sufficient draft under adverse atmospheric conditions, there fore, during normal and high barometric condi tions, cold months and windy periods, they generate highly excessive draft intensities with resulting inefficiency and fuel waste.
ADVANTAGES
A SIM-TROL automatically maintains a con
stant minimum draft required for good combus
tion, effects fuel savings, reduces the velocity of
hot gases through the boiler increasing heat
transfer, reduces air infiltration and cold air
inrush causing sudden shrinkage of boiler parts.
It eliminates local hot spots in coal firing. In oil
and gas firing, it eliminates floating and pulsating
flames and sucking out of pilots. Feed water
regulation improves, more even super-heat re
Type "A"
sults, boiler life is increased, tube clogging re duced and boiler room ventilation improved.
A SIM-TROL aids materially in smoke abate-
' ment by reduction of unburned combustibles and by dilution of combustion products
with air. Excessive stack temperatures are eliminated, reducing fire hazards and
lenghtening stack liner life.
CONSTRUCTION
A SIM-TROL is easily adjusted for accurate performance. The races adjust laterally, the race assembly vertically, and the angle of the arm may be varied in relation to the plane of the gate. Properly sized SIM-TROLS allow adjustment for any desired draft intensity.
Gates of Type A and Type C SIM-TROLS rotate on cold rolled steel arbors and dustproof ball bearings. Curved tubular counterbalances contain heavy metal balls constantly changing position to compensate for varying angles of the gate as.it rotates to govern air input to the breeching or stack. Maintains an over-fire draft within 0.01 in. of water, plus or minus.
All parts, except bearings, are protected by hard, heat resisting boiler room enam els. All counterbalance members are outside, free from encrustment and corrosion by products of combustion.
DESIGN FACTORS
Sizing is extremely important. The gate, or input opening, should equal the breeching or stack area. When stack height exceeds 65 ft, we recommend 10 per cent increase of input area for each additional 35 ft or considerable fraction thereof. When possible, preference should be given to a wide control, rather than a high gate, for adjustment ease.
Horizontal clearance from breeching or stack should approximate gate height plus 30 in. Over-all height approximates* gate height plus 37 in. Over-all width will approximate gate width plus 8 in. However, SIM-TROLS can be designed successfully for limited spaces when boiler room plans are submitted.
SIM-TROL types A and C are individually designed to requirements and speci fications of the plant to be served. Upon receipt of stack and breeching dimen sions, clearances, number of boilers and method of firing, a sketch of the recom mended SIM-TROL is submitted for approval, without obligation.
SIM-TROL barometric draft controls are available from 4 in. diameter up to ca pacities for the largest plants. Descriptive material and prices on request.
FLASHINGS
