In the course of my contact with Ronald F. Cascone, a senior consultant at Chem Systems, I learned that they were carrying out a study for an unnamed Japanese client relating to the PVC industry, particularly focusing on global environmental, health and safety challenges. I provided Ron Cascone with a copy of a paper that I had presented in September 1988 to the Vinyl Chloride Safety Association meeting entitled "Environmental and Regulatory Impacts on Future PVC Growth". In return,, he agreed to send me those portions of the Chem Systems report dealing with their environmental assessment. Inasmuch as this covers not only the U.S. but Europe and Japan, with Ron Cascone's approval, I am pleased to enclose a copy of this analysis for your information and use.
