Mr. Reedy Informs us that he has used our product In trans formers for his electrostatic preolpltator sets. Actually he purchases these rectifier transformers from O.E. and Westlnghouse Electric and has more recently purchased at least a few such transformers from NWL transformer (Nothelfer Winding Laboratories). This Is to Inform that the transformers are not made by Air Correction, Prom our saleB records we find that Air Correction purchased only 2,400 lbs. or about 4 drums of transformer Xnerteen In 1971 and I believe about half that amount In 1970. This re flects that the aakarel transformers purchased by Air Correc tion Division are not filled by Air Correction but Instead arrive completely filled by the transformer manufacturer. In giving us the list of his customers Mr. Reedy sought that Monsanto oontaot them as users of PCBs and that we suggest substitute produots or appropriate handling techniques. X advised Mr. Reedy that within a few months there will be available through the ANSI organization the guide lines for the proper handling of PCBs for transformer apparatus and that his transformer suppliers are aotlve members of the working committee. Accordingly X suggested that he transmit bks list of the people using his transformer/reotlfler/ preolpltator sets to his suppliers of the askarel transformers. They are expeoted to appreciate this to facilitate distribu tion of the guide line Information.
