Richards - Tigar September 27, 1973 Acme location: Chicago ocation: Tigard Recently I attended a-dneeting chaired by the Seattle Area, OSHA office. The entire agenda was devoted to asbestos problems. The attached program outline was discussed and my opinion is that although this was referred to as a suggested program it would be mandatory when an inspection occurred. Several of the items are in force in your operation and others are under consideration. My recommendation is that you make copies of this program to be used as reference when necessary to present to the compliance officer. Incidentally of approximately 150 attendees, management only had 8 in attendance, the balance were organized labor and a few medical representatives, plus safety supplies retailers. SGP 0007314
