Determine if chlorinated dibenzofurans are present In samples of Aroclor 1016, Aroclor 1242, and Aroclor 1254. Analyses will be made on samples representing current production and on samples of Aroclor 1242 and 1254 produced prior to 1970. ' 2, Studies will be made to establish the presence of dlbenzofuran in refined biphenyl. - 3. Studies will be made to determine the presence of chlorohydroxyblphenyls in typical Aroclor samples. 4. A literature search will be made for references to degradation of polychlorinated biphenyls. I Barring unforeseen difficulties, we hope to complete the l studies within four to eight weeks.
