CONCLUSION The percent filler range on glass mat shingles is too wide. 2. RECOMMENDATIONS The percent filler range of glass shingles should be kept within the U/L minimum of 50% and our established maximum of 60%. 3. DISCUSSION The percent filler range of 35.0% to 71.5% is much too great. Under writers has set a 50% minimum on our glass shingles and our maximum is set at 60%.
