Suzanne Clark
President and
Chief Executive Officer
The Honorable Sean Duffy The Secretary of Transportation Washington, DC 20590
Dear Mr. Secretary:
On behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we would like to request a meeting with you to discuss opportunities to advance infrastructure investment in the United States, which is a critical priority for the business community. A delegation of senior business leaders from member companies will be joining me for this meeting. There are many ways we can advance our shared infrastructure agenda, and we are eager to align our priorities with those of your department.
The Trump administration has a unique opportunity to enact necessary reforms and drive significant investment into our nation's transportation infrastructure with the upcoming reauthorization of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This presents an opportunity to address several long-standing challenges that impact American businesses and citizens, from fixing our broken permitting process, to restoring the solvency of the highway trust fund, and enhancing the safety and reliability of our nation's roads and bridges.
We look forward to working with you on the critical work of reforming our surface transportation programs and supporting the broader work of your department. John Drake, vice president of transportation, infrastructure, and supply chain policy, will follow up with your office to facilitate your participation. In the meantime, should your staff have any questions, John can be reached atjdrake@uschamber.com or 2022716210.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
O. Ce'a44._
