Tompkins A DIVISION OF EXXON CORPORATION EXX-MOR-010650 S/S EXXON GETTYSBURG Navigational Equipment (Similar to EXXON JAMESTOWN) 601/608 B Furnish labor and material to accomplish the following: A) Take delivery of owner furnished Loran C and speed log equipment from Sperry Systems. Rig same to the bridge of the vessel. B) Provide engineering services to produce necessary drawings and obtain approvals from USCG, ABS, and Owner's Representatives as required. After completion of all work, all revisions or modifications are to be obtained and approved in final drawings. The drawings and approvals for the EXXON JAMESTOWN may apply. C) Fabricated one (1) shelf from 1/8" galvanized steel and 1/2" x 1/2" angle frame. D) Furnish electrical wiring as necessary and install same. Installation of new equipment to be under the direction of the contractor-furnished Sperry Representative. See wheelhouse arrangement. E) Make necessary removals of overhead and bulkhead panels in way of above installations. F) Install Loran C antenna coupler in location as directed and run wiring from same to their associated equipment. Fabricate supports for antenna. The shipyard is to purchase and install a standard 8' whip in the Loran C coupler. G) Take delivery and install a Sperry MK301B doppler speed log system. The sea chest kit is to be installed between Frame 151 and 152 in the bottom shell as close to the centerline as possible in the forward peak tank. The transducer will be inserted and wired to the transceiver located in the Foc'l. space. Exxon supplies the wire between these two units. The electronic unit should be installed in the chart room, or a gyro room whichever is convenient. The Master display is to be located above the windows forward of the radar display on the starboard side of the wheelhouse. The unit is to be integrated the Loran C.
